Medical Support For Krishiv

Krishiv is a 6-month-old Baby Boy who is suffering from a rare type of disease for which the origin is unknown.

The baby was admitted for fever of unknown origin since 3 months are St John’s Hospital Pediatric Oncology Department Bangalore (PatientID: 4809819).Krishiv is also diagnosed with Bone marrow Mycobacterial Culture Positive, MYCOBACTERIA OTHER THAN TUBERCULOSIS (MOTT) infection.

Krishiv hails from Tumkur and his father is a Tailor and mother is a Home maker. Krishiv is the only child for the elderly parent and was born after 28 Years of their marriage.The patient’s family belongs to a low socio-economic background and is finding it very difficult to meet the treatment expenses.

The child needs to be on Anti-Tubercular therapy (ATT) for atypical for a period of at least 2-3 years with higher line antibiotics. Clinical exam reports to evaluate for primary immunodeficiency disorder awaited. This is one of the rare type of disease affecting this 6-month-old is definitely painful and are to distressing.

The total estimated cost of this treatment would be 2 to 3 lakhs and other diagnosis cost with medicines are going to be a big burden to the family of Krishiv. While the family is fighting for their living, the parents are struggling every day to manage the medical expenses.
